Why we run our own software before we build yours

Operating three platforms in production changes how we design, test and hand over every system we build for clients.

QodePilot builds and operates three management platforms of its own — for hotels and restaurants, schools and hospitals — and takes on engineering work for teams who want that same discipline applied to their product.

That combination is deliberate. Running our own software in production changes how we build yours.

We carry the pager

When a front desk can't check a guest in, or a ward can't see which beds are free, it is our phone that rings. That experience shapes every architecture decision: we design for the day the system is busy, not the day it is demoed.

We own the migrations

Every one of our platforms has moved customers off something older — spreadsheets, paper registers, a decade-old desktop app. We know that the migration is usually the riskiest part of a project, so we plan for parallel runs, reconciliation and a calm cut-over from the first week.

We write it down

Architecture, decisions and runbooks are documents, not tribal knowledge. If we left tomorrow, your team could carry on. That is the standard we hold our own products to, and the one we hand over with yours.

What this means for your project

  • Working software early. The core workflow goes to a real environment in the first few weeks, and everything else is built around something that already works.
  • Boring on purpose. Proven stacks — .NET, React, Azure, SQL Server — and conventional patterns, so novelty is spent on your product, not your plumbing.
  • We stay on. Support, monitoring and iteration after launch. Go-live is not the finish line.

If that is the kind of team you are looking for, tell us what you're building.
